The new Mitsubishi Evolution Owners Club is established officially in June 2005. We are the first Mitsubishi Evolution official registered club under Registrar Of Society (1116-05-7) in Malaysia under Selangor and Wilayah Perseketuan state. Our objective of this club are to form a unity of all Evolution owners in Malaysia, exchange technical information and promote safety driving on the road. Under the strict rules and regulation of the registered club in Malaysia. The consititution under ROS in Malaysia however govern MEOC must only accept original Mitsubishi Evolution and not converted (by means of body kit, engine and other parts from Mitsubishi Evolution car). "Underneath the relatively calm and civilized world of Kuala Lumpur traffic, lurks a mad bunch of car enthusiasts, brought together not by their passion for driving but because they are helplessly hooked on a word. And it's not just any word, because the word also carries with it an expression of unadulterated brute force: Evo. The first three Evos may be basic, but the five that preceded it is packed with electronics designed to harness the power that it makes anyone who cares to drive it hard look good. Take it on the track and it laps faster than a Subaru Impreza its arch rival yet looks as unassuming as a Proton. That is, if you count out the big rear spoilers and deep front bumpers, which is so effective that we constantly see it on other cars. But unlike the boy racer craze of the 90s, buying a trendy boy racer machine the Evo is expensive. For those who can afford it, they belong to a privileged group and call themselves MEOC or Mitsubishi Evolution Owners Club." This new MEOC however is compassionate towards motorsport as a whole, and welcome with open arms to every car enthusiasts in the region. As most races is held on track, and not on public roads, MEOC tries to educate its members that with power machine, comes a responsibility to where it should be shown... and with the spirit of Mitsubishi Evolution motto "Spirit of Competition" embedded in every MEOC members, and that motorsport is about fun and sharing of experience, and not just pure victory.
